Amarus was founded in 2009 by Daniel Davies, a web developer from Birmingham, UK. Daniel's idea was simple. He wanted to merge creativity with technology to solve problems and nurture great ideas.

He found many web companies are too far at either end of the spectrum. Either too technical to be able to grasp ideas and communicate to their clients. Therefore leading to great software (in a quality sense) that was useless (in a, "does this actually solve the problem?" sense). Or so idealistic they over look the fundamentals of delivering stable work, leading to beautiful campaigns that were destined to fall at the first technical glitch.

With an academic background in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, industry experience in marketing and natural flare for creativity Daniel was naturally placed to pioneer a new sort of company.

Amarus was created to not only be a company full of great ideas, but also to have the technical resources to develop and deliver them properly.

The business was founded on a few of very simple principles.

  • Understanding. We can only deliver solutions if we understand what our client wants to achieve; we'll take as much time as it takes to understand our clients. If we can't deliver a solution because we don't understand our client's goals we won't quote on the work.
  • Collaboration. We will work with others to offer our clients the best. We are constantly looking to partner with other companies to offer better services, whether they are PR, marketing, development, business strategy, etc. By combining our skills we can achieve so much more.
  • Delivery. We make sure everything we deliver is the best we can do. We have tried and tested delivery methods to ensure projects arrive on time and to budget. We'll take you through these before we begin any work.
  • Honesty. We will never try to mislead a client, all of our development is transparent. All of our fees are agreed up-front. If we don't think we can offer you the best service around we'll tell you.
  • Support. Just because a project has finished doesn't mean our relationship with a client has too. We'll provide support and assistance on projects as long as there's still a need. We'll never be more than a phone call away, and because of our documentation and QA standards we can solve your problems and further develop projects for years to come.
